Bank Holiday Birdwatching...
It's been a very long day! Early start for my Mum and Dad as they were off on another UK coach holiday today, so their taxi picked them up before 7 to take them to the coach and then they're heading to Lancashire!
So as I was up, I thought I'd head out early for my walk and was at the nature reserve by 8! Sat with some very knowledgeable birders - with very impressive scopes! - who were pointing birds out to me and let me use their scopes too! Nice to see the 4 spoonbills who are currently at the reserve, along with Large Egrets, Cormorants, Green Sandpiper, Plovers, 25 swans and various other waders who were enjoying low tide. Also saw a couple of juvenile reed warblers who were looking very cute!
now enjoying the sunshine with a good book, and a slice of cake!!
