High Horse

If I had a high horse
would I ever
climb aboard?

I hope not.
I wouldn’t want people saying
‘There he goes.

He’s on his high horse again.
He’s clip-clopping
over the moral high ground.

He’s jockeying
for prime position.
He’s trampling all over us.

And he looks so angry
as he gallops by.
My oh my, oh my.
