Heather

We always like to have a trip to the moors above Castleside at this time of year to see the heather when it's at its best.  

A few days I posted a photo from Morpeth and explained that the walk I did was where my grandma would have walked when she was a girl.  Yesterday my Blip showed Dunston Staiths where my great grandad worked as a trimmer.  Where we visited today is the area where my great great grandfather worked as a lead miner.  He is buried in a nearby cemetery and I visited it for the first time a few years ago.
