a new one for me

This is a Cut Leafed Cranesbill and it’s the first time I’ve seen one. I’ve been interested in wild flowers since my dad bought me a wild flower book when I was 10. It was in black and white and I used to colour them in when I found one I hadn’t seen before. Now I have many flower books all in full colour but I still have that first special book alongside them. I used to go on walks with my dad and our then dog Lassie, and we were always delighted to find a new one. That same joy was still there this morning when I found this one.
