I do live in a pleasant city!

I noted a few interesting-looking numbers, without ascribing any particular significance:

- Today is my 1,333rd blip. Nice and round(…-ish).

- Bicycle odometer (by gps) sat at 11,223 km when I handed it over to a mechanic. Got it back with new gear hub internals, and now it rides smooth as silk again!

I am endlessly amazed at how cheap it is to maintain a bicycle. Gear replacement - major surgery! - cost me about £115. I’ve owned a car… feels like even passing by on the street outside a mechanic’s shop can cost more than that!

Anyway. Super happy to have a reliable mechanic nearby. They bring me joy, because I love the freedom of getting around on bicycle.
