For Blips Sake

Almost at the top

I have English public holidays so I was off today. Kara was still at preschool. So a day for Jen and I to do whatever. We could have had a nice relaxing day but instead decided to head to Bennachie to climb up to Mither Tap (518 m, 1699 feet). We went from the Visitor Centre side so a more direct route but Jen said the other way is nicer. Lots of large stone steps towards the top for us. Doable but we were definitely tired by the end of it. Luckily we’d preorder a lunch from the Kilted Frog in advance (because they weren’t ready when we arrived early this morning). A special for Inverurie restaurant week. A box selection from the deli (cheese, olives, bit of quiche, crackers etc), treat and a coffee for £5.50. Bargain!

This photo is of the approach to the top. Where an old fort used to be. Of course it has been improved 100% by the dog appearing just as I took it.

More pictures on Instagram. No more dogs unfortunately.
