Hill Top Ramblings

Cardinham Woods

We discovered a great Forestry England site, Cardinham Woods. They have a Gruffalo trail for the children which meant that Wendy happily walked a mile and a half looking for the characters! And of course they had a cafe, so happy families!
The weather has come really good for our little southern break and there were some Silver washed fritillaries to see, and Brown banded carders.
It’s down the newly finished A30, which is a delightful drive after the nightmare it’s been for many years, just near Bodmin. This is halfway between Gilly and Andrew so a perfect meeting point too.
We had fish and chips for tea, so not too much work there either.
Another lovely day.
