Something must have spooked the greylag geese as most of them suddenly took off from Marl Loch but the two swans and little grebes were unconcerned,  Shortly afterwards a roe deer ran across my path about four metres away leaving two young ones that seemed too scared to leave the shelter of the bushes while there was anyone around.
