Mono Monday: Week 553 ...

... Energy.

Even though there are many Energy sources closer to home we decided to take the 30 minute drive into New Jersey to visit the Red Mill Museum Village in Clinton, NJ.

The Red Mill is an old grist mill that got it's Energy (power) from the South Branch Raritan River.  And is one of the most photographed locations here in the Northeast.  

I had every intention of posting a picture of the Red Mill itself ... until Richard saw this lovely water snake down in the river as we crossed the bridge.  He was getting his Energy from the warmth of the rocks he was sunning himself on.  Isn't he wonderful!?!  Please have a look full screen.
