Last Class

My last day teaching my summer plant ID class today. It’s been a terrific class - maybe the best yet. A super combination of the students, the size of the class (11) and my own general preparedness and experience.

We had our final plant Identification test this morning and then I took them out to visit Sean Hogan’s garden on Sauvie Island (northwest of Portland) which is a mecca for all things agricultural. He owns Cistus Nursery https://cistus.com/ which specializes in climate appropriate plants. He gave us a tour of his garden…truly an education!
