Market Day - Dalyan

A few hours spent amidst the colours and aromas of the local market! the heat was intense and all my senses were bombarded from all directions with colour noise smells & tastes (the stall holders are very generous with samples of fruit or cooling teas). We haggled a little but the people are so lovely and quick witted we were happy to pay a little over the odds just for the entertainment value. We saw one holiday couple haggling for a good price on a handbag, the purchaser was happy with her deal and at the end of the transaction dug into her shopping and pulled out a banana to give to the stall holder as a thank you - he was very pleased and promptly peeled it and shared it with his stall mate - I find its the little things that make me smile and stay in my memory longest.
