WOOD

A sweet little bird made from Huon Pine and purchased in Tasmania in the early 1980s.
The timber has a beautiful perfume, high oil content making it impervious to insects, waterproof. It’s a pale wood when first cut aging to a honey colour, as seen here. Too many cuddles for this little one.
The bird is very tactile - I love its smooth lines.
The bird is about five inches tall.
