Sunflowers

I treated myself to a small bunch of sunflowers before the weekend. Nothing else cheers up grey, end of summer days like a sunflower. In my opinion anyway! They certainly drew the attention from our Sunday guests and now in the peace of my Tuesday kitchen they have drawn my eye again.. I must paint them before they go over. 
The forecast said it would be 24C today and sunny but we seem to have been caught under a dull grey cloud until 2.30... the wind is coming up again but the sun is finally breaking through and warming us up a bit.
