Discovering Degas

As it was pelting down with rain again this morning I decided to head over to The Burrell and see the Discovering Degas exhibition which finishes in September. Although you wouldn’t think it from this photo, it was pretty busy, clearly lots of other people thought today was a good time to go too! I found the exhibition space rather claustrophobic, it has to be dimly lit to protect the paintings but I didn’t find it a pleasurable place to see art. Anyway, I can tick it off my list. 
The sun came out in the early afternoon and I did a bit of weeding in the muddy front garden, hung out some washing and sat out with a cup of tea for the first time in ages. Cloudy again now but it was nice while it lasted and I saw two butterflies too!
