Forest Bug (Pentatoma Rufipes)

Spotted this on one of our clematis plants this evening. We have recently been bemoaning the considerable lack of bees, butterflies, hover flies etc. This does not bode well for nature if it continues. I must mention in similar vein the “re-wilding” of roadside verges and other areas that used to be kept tidy by the local council. These are now looking horrible and overgrown but appear seriously lacking in the wildlife they are supposed to protect. I just hope Mother Nature manages to reset things quickly!
