Not so Jolly Jersey

The rain over the past few weeks has been misreable.  The nights are drawing in and there have been occasions where I've thought it would be nice to have the heating on - it's still only August, not October!!! The rain was relentless today and yesterday.  I briefly dashed out yesterday morning after circuits in a sort-of dry spell to harvest the rather sad potato and garlic crop and then the rain has just been coming down all day.  This has meant me spending most of the weekend removing the paint from the bannister.  Joy.

P has not had a great week and needed a break, so in the evening we headed out for some food and a cinema trip.  To make logsitics easier this also meant a trip to Strathaven where I had a cuppa with the cows before doing some jobs.  Strathaven should have been heaving as the balloon festival should have been on, but it was cancelled due to the rubbish weather.  Maybe that's why the cow is so fed up.
