St Nicholas church, Steventon

I led a slightly Jane Austen themed walk for my Ramblers group. I found the route before I realised it was through the area where Austen grew up.

This is the interior of St Nicholas church, Steventon, where Austen's father was rector.
The arches were there in Austen’s time. The stained glass windows, orange and green tilework on the arches, Transfiguration painting above the arches, and pews all date from Victorian times.
