Model B, Salford.

Much sought after by me, the Model B Viewmaster was manufactured between 1944 and 1947. The majority were made in Portland USA but a few were produced in Salford, down the road a few miles from where I live. The key difference is that the Salford model has flared eyecups rather than the circular USA ones.
At an antiques centre the other day I was chatting to one of the people on reception about stereo viewers in general. I mentioned that a Model B was on my target list and she said that a Salford version was in a box of stuff that she had just bought!
Turns out it was in its original box and was in excellent condition. She offered it at a very fair price and I picked it up today. Happy?.. I'm ecstatic!

On other matters, I'm falling behind with commenting (yet again) so apologies to all my blip mates, I will catch up.
