Dog monster

Broken umbrellas used to be a common sight in Wellington, but thanks to some clever new engineering many Wellingtonians now have almost indestructible ones. Not so in this case: Maisie was terrified of this wild creature, which reared and waved in the wind as we walked past. It does look a bit like a swan, with claws.. I had to almost drag her along the road as she kept looking back anxiously to see if it was following us. 
In the end I decided the best bet was to go back and vanquish the demon, folding it up as best I could and depositing in the nearest rubbish bin.
Just like the old days...
