Curlew

Today centred on a blip meet with fellow blipper Miranda1008 - good to meet you Miranda. We met at Town Quay, Lymington and travelled to Keyhaven for a walk into the extensive nature reserve (centred around former salt pans transformed into marshes) from that direction. It wasn’t the most straightforward of drives, a serious crash closed the main route into and out of the town.

Before meeting up I explored Lymington and walked into the nearest part of the reserve to the town, Normandy Marsh. After Miranda departed for home I chatted to some young crabbers who had caught a bucketful of young fish, then walked back into the reserve, and finally finished the day at the big pebbly spit which leads to Hurst Castle to watch the sun going down. As often happens, the sun dipped below cloud well before it set.

The main blip is a curlew on Normandy Marsh, and I’ve added a few extras.
