Travel

Travel is the theme for Wide Wednesday, thanks Bobsbips….... but no travelling for me today.
I was sitting on the couch enjoying a cup of tea after lunch wondering what I could do.
In my line of sight is the bookcase that Doug made a few years back to mainly house my numerous photobooks. There are a few little souveniers there as well - the two vases I bought in Athens, box and elephant from Botswana, the wee round box is from Alaska, assorted pens from Thailand, Indonesia and Bali.
But the most amazing traveller is the Albatross (on the cover of my Stewart Island photo book) - these species stay out to sea and not return to land for 3 - 4 years to breed.
At 4pm this afternoon we watched live on youtube our grandson Harry play in the 2024 College Sport Wellington Youth Boys Premier Football final.  A big deal and OMG, it was tense.  While watching I successfully overcooked dinner !!  Score was 1 - 1 at full time then the shootout followed.  Wellington Boys College won that 5 - 3....very tense, so thrilled for Harry and the team. And such a thrill to be able to watch this game live on the laptop.

And then tonight (after eating our crisp dinner) a phone call from a Western Australia (sometimes) blipper with some news, exciting :)
