Day 1: The Hunter Valley

We left home today for a three week driving holiday in Northern New South Wales. Our first destnation is the Hunter Valley, one of Australia's major wine regions. We are staying in a two-bedroom, free-standing villa on a 15 acre property in the area called Pokolbin. After we settled in this afternoon we went for a walk around the property and crossed over this old footbridge.

It is 50 years since I have been in this area. I came with friends several times in the mid 1970s to enjoy wine-tasting at the various vineyards. It will be interesting to see how much it has changed since then.
