Pinboard #21 (Wednesday 28th August 2024)

As the last pinboard was all music related pages I've chosen half a dozen images from my newly-expanded archive that are not. From left to right we have the Apollo XI mission of 1969; the actress Jane Birkin; Bruce McCandless II makes an untethered space walk, 1984; Fashion designer Katherine Hamnett confronts Thatcher also in 1984 at Downing Street; Lady Diana; Chairman Mao. It wasn't until after photographed this that I made the realisation that none of the people depicted in it are still with us.

In other news, Archie behaved yesterday with her new battery, and a full trailer was taken to the Honeyball recycling centre and emptied.

I've been much enjoying The Bear (on Disney+) since the first series arrived here in 2022 and it has introduced me to some fine music, including this from Adrianne Lenker (who also sings with the band Big Thief), from the album Bright Future. It appeared at the end of Series 3, Episode 7: Legacy.
