I wonder if any locals recognise these columns? Clue : They are on Cheltenham High Street! Columns and carbuncles are in the news today as the ones in the extension to The National Gallery in London have been removed to reveal a note from the principal benefactor of that wing hidden in one registering his disapproval of the design!
