The debate over what to do with the thousands of these locks ( the council is concerned over maintenance of the bridge's structure ) has been rumbling along for some time. There now appears to be a definite plan to remove them and transport them to a new location.
Love them or hate them, there is no doubt that the bridge and its locks is a major attraction for visitors.
