Bathtime
After having sorted Clickychick out at the village hall i.e. made sure the computer was talking to then projector, I was standing doing the washing up. (Our repairer is having difficulty sourcing a new hose for emptying the dishwasher.) I noticed some movement at the bird bath. I ran to the living room for the camera. You have guessed it ........ Wrong lens! Change lens. Battery flat...... Change battery!
Fortunately by the time I had done this the Robin was still happily splashing away. We have two bird baths, this iron one, surplus to Kat's needs and a pukka RSPB one. The RSPB one occasionally has a Woodpigeon paddling/standing in it and birds drink from it but i have never seen one bath. This one much smaller and with a little statue on the side does get birds bathing in it. As they say "there's nowt se queer as folk birds." (Apologies to whoever first coined the phrase).
