Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord

It was our long trip home today. An early start from Bremen meant that we could have a little mid-morning stop in this park. It’s an old steel production plant, which has been preserved and turned into a park and events venue. It’s a great combination of derelict and nature taking back over.

A few (hundred) miles later, and we were back at the tunnel. We’d stopped off at Carrefour for some French essentials just before. Dreading the bank holiday traffic, it was actually quite an easy drive back in the UK. We deposited one friend on a train to York, and the other back to her car.
