Bowayre Bød

A cloudy morning, cleared into a sunny afternoon and evening.  Fairly breezy all day, and rain tonight.

Up early, got my car sorted at the garage.  Headed into Lerwick for various things, also met mam for lunch at the Olive Tree.  Walkies in the afternoon.  Popped by Madeline's.  Working in the shop this evening, a busy night.  Feet up tonight, no night for walkies.  

A lovely sunny walk this afternoon, warm too.  I haven't walked along the shore here, a lovely walk, more to explore.  As I came along, this ayre (pebble beach) stretched out along the voe.  Sitting on the ayre, this old stone building.  Not sure what the history is, but it looks very similar to an old fishing bød.  They were mainly used for storage on the ground floor, sometimes accommodation upstairs, or even a shop.  Hard to capture a clear scene or the front door and windows, I'll have to get my drone for that.  Looking towards the old Bowayre Bød, Seli Voe, Sandsting.
