Grandad We Love You!

These giant spring onions remind me of the ones my grandfather used to grow in his vegetable patch.
Freshly pulled and covered in earth, he used to wash them thoroughly, then slice them very thinly and enjoy with equally thin slices of his favourite cheddar cheese and Jacob's Cream Crackers.
It always fascinated just me how meticulous he was in the preparation and how much of a ritual he made out of it.
