Fever Tree in Flood
Lake Naivasha is at its highest level in 60 years. These wonderful acacia trees are now sitting in water.
Why fever tree? I recently learnt they were given the name because early settlers fell sick whilst camping under them by lakes and rivers. They soon discovered it had nothing to do with the tree but was in fact malaria from Mosquitos nesting in stagnant water nearby.
