summer delicacy

Not sure what these are, but there are loads of them in the fields at the moment. They fly up at the slightest movement and then take an age to settle down, by which time they are usually out of blip range.

I feel sorry for my mother in law who has a phobia of moths and butterflies and would have a problem wandering through the grass at the moment. Mind you, I wouldn't go through either if there were lots of slithery things underfoot (can't even bring myself to type the word!).
