Just before Storm Ciarán, 1-2 November 2023, arrived we had a new window fitted and the installers ‘kindly’ cleaned the gulley it sat in. When the rain arrived the water poured in where the flashings were damaged. Toilet ceiling, door frame and dining room ceiling and walls all sustained damage.
Mrs S through work colleagues managed to get “Andy The Roofer” to arrive and stop the leak. Surveying the damage was pretty disheartening but we got the quotes, stuck with Andy and his workload means that he is unable to start until next week.
Today however, much to Paddy’s delight, new people to play with, the scaffolding went up.
Dry for Christmas.
