A Day Worth Recording

Although the weekend saw the party marking the occasion, today is the actual tenth anniversary of our arrival at the Dell House and implementation of a huge leap of faith.

It's been a bit of an occasional tradition to blip the house at night on these occasions, as I did on the very first night - it having got dark before things calmed down enough to think about photography.

Since that day, the business has gone from strength to strength; the house is restored and the garden transformed.  In this picture every window has been restored or refurbished; every room rewired, fire protected and redecorated; every lightbulb now LED, the roof replaced, the terrace created, and the thug of a Lawson Cypress removed and carved.

I was reflecting on my career the other day.  Whilst 30 years of technology development was fun, exciting, challenging, well paid, and had the joy of being part of a larger team, the last ten years of having people leave the house happier and more relaxed than when they arrived has provided so much more - it has had point.
