Holy pictures and red Busy Lizzie.
The Feast Day of the Passion or be heading of Saint John the Baptist.
Today is 18.7c in the living room and 64f in the conservatory. There was a light rain shower earlier. Now it is still cold, but sunny with a breeze.
The sound of the mechanical Church demolition further up St Charles Road, upset me this morning. I walked home as far away from the sounds as I could. The bell tower is no more. No words can describe how bad the church in ruins is. I deliberately didn't go and stand nearby, photographing the terrible signs of a Holy place of worship for God, much respected by even the non Church people, looking so destroyed and all the infrastructure just in bits. The plants and trees in the garden surrounding the sad Church building are ruined. It is a scene of brokenness. Much to lament and much to remain in our memories of worthwhile celebrations of faith shared in that wonderful church.
Enough said.
I love finding peace and strength by focusing on beauty, often in Nature, because it is a key part of Heaven on Earth, as I like to think of it. made by a Divine Creator.
A wonderful fluttering Red Admiral butterfly suddenly appeared in our garden while Paul and me were waiting for Hunter to return for feeding. Eventually he did return.
It can put into perspective the Godliness and divine creative vibration and colours, found within the lovely gardens, trees and unspoilt natural landscape.
Cherish whatever is good, true and beautiful. Treasure the people in your family and good friends. God is present in the love we share and prayers are answered but not always as we think best.
