Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Monday.

I packed up after breakfast and O and I got my tent down.

I was playing in two consecutive sessions with band 2 then band 1.  For band 2 we had over 70 musicians come.

Afterwards I went to the main stage to see Katherine Tickell (Northumbrian ipes and fiddle) plus her band.  I took the family to the Artists reception tent for a drink.  In came Katherine Tickell who was talking to I.  She agreed to a photo of them together.

Afterwards I watched Elkie Brooks, performing as part of her farewell tour. She was really good, still a great voice and a polished performance.  She certainly didn't look her 79 years.

I then returned home - an enjoyable weekend.
