Château du Petit Thouars

We meandered our way down the Loire this morning, stopping at a few places to admire the view. Just after lunch we arrived at Le Château du Petit Thouars, where we had lunch a a wine tasting. It’s a gorgeous estate, with a rather fairy tale chateau that had been in the family for generations. Their cellar is hundreds of years old and works a treat, very cool with a natural air flow. And barrels en masse always make a great photo!

Next stop Bologne-sur-Mer, after a long drive. A definite feeling of “heading home”.
