On the fence...
A busy day, in vicarious terms...
The gas utility excavation crew arrived as planned to move the gas supply to the meter and immediately pointed out that we'd fitted the new gas locker using bolts through the box - prohibited due to the potential for gas leaks into the cavity.
No mention of the fact the previous box had been screwed to the wall with similar holes but hey, rules change and it makes sense, so a new new meter box was procured. Every day a learning day, said my builder.
Then the structural engineer visited to check his calculations against the actual building and sent through a comprehensive report, which I'm pretty sure no-one will read except for the part about the size of the RSJ.
The gas safe engineer arrived and made the new coupling to the boiler while the utility meter engineer did the actual move, and once more we have gas! Not that we're using it at the moment because the solar panels are overflowing into the immersion. Why give it away?
All the time the roof insulation is going up. It was so busy I had to go for a walk! This dragon sat there while I entirely overlooked my f-stop and got a marvellously tight depth of field shot just right...!
Then, by chance, it was beer o'clock again.
