Walking
We were both working at home today. Even though that meant I had time to prepare meals, we opted to use up some of the leftovers. I have had my fill of the cauliflower pasta for a while, so two portions went into the freezer.
I mentioned that James had an inter-rail holiday, and PY's response was the same as mine. And then we started wondering if we should do it next year. We have decided to try to find a resort-based holiday for later in the year but are still trying to make a selection. PY has seen several incredible places within budget, but when I think we've picked one, he finds an alternative with even more advantages over the previous choice. We must make a selection soon.
After work, we went for a walk. I suggested walking on Cannon Hill Common because it's been very dry. We used to make good use of the green space here during the pandemic, but we don't walk in this direction too often these days. I am glad we did: it was a lovely evening, and the sky over West Wimbledon, when viewed from the playing fields, was incredible. We were out for almost an hour, choosing to walk back across the playing fields.
After consuming our leftovers, we watched another episode of The Jetty. We're getting close to the finish, and I am intrigued by how it will play out. The odd-vegetable box was delivered early, so I have already started planning next week's menu.
