Flatiron building

This building in Aberdeen I think could count as a flat iron building, albeit not as renown as the one in New York. This one is to be found just off The Green.  It is actually a hotel, The Carmelite. The name would suggest there may have been a monastery nearby at some time.

I checked on the outside seating area at Café 52, it has been entirely removed. The outside area at Contour Café remains. I wonder why one was removed by the council, and yet the other is allowed to remain, no doubt there is some reason.
