The Road Less Travelled

Rain across the loch

A funny sort of day, I was wakened at 7am by the phone ringing…my cleaning lady found our security gate lying flat on the road this morning. The hinges had been unbolted from the post as it is chained shut. The consensus is that it was an attempted remote theft of the car we left on the drive. Upsetting as we are away and feel powerless and remotely vulnerable. All fixed, lucky to have great neighbours and home team, we will be installing Ring on our return. I’ve swerved spy cameras till now as they feel intrusive but now I see the need.

Relaxation somewhat marred, we didn’t do much, between lots of texts and calls we walked to Lochgilphead for lunch. The man in the fishing shop told us the town was a disgrace for lunch options and advised we leave Lochgilphead and go to another village for lunch, but his one recommendation as the only safe place to sit down and eat in town turned out to be an excellent recommendation. I had veggie haggis rarebit! There were moments of sun between many consecutive showers that came running to us up the loch.
