The view from the garden

I've had a brief tummy upset, so have rested up a lot today. It's been good to feel the warm sun.
Friends came over to visit, and all the kids had good times on the beach. Jack, Ruth and Teleri (a friend's daughter) met an inquisitive seal in the bay, while they were swimming - a real delight.
Luca will be 5 on Sunday, and today was also a little pre-birthday celebration. Ruth and Josh made a 'rock pool cake', decorated with shells, pebbles and chocolate starfish. Luca is delighted to finally catch up with Frieda, who turned 5 six weeks ago.
