We tret ourselves to lunch at the Star in Harome and were deeply impressed that a special menu had been prepared for the vegan contingent, who usually has to contend with whatever the chef/s have time to manage, often grudgingly, in their busy culinary schedule. This picture doesn't show a vegan dish but my sardine starter, described in the menu as "East coast sardines with heirloom tomato salad, marjoram pesto, cheese straws and bloody Mary sorbet" and presented on a rustic looking slab of wood. It tasted every bit as good as it looked. The other pictures I took are here.
