love is a verb

One for the books!

I love the peaceful look of the kitchen window. Yesterday was not a peaceful day. It started out with a terrible flare of my IBS. My gut was awful all day. I had committed to helping with a fellowship meal at church so I went. My stomach was still upset so I did not stay to eat. Johnny stayed home. As I was leaving the church, parking lot I must have gotten distracted and looked down. Suddenly there was a loud sound and my car quit moving. I thought I was hung on the curb. Friends pulled up as I got out. I said : Why am I stuck on the curb?? She looked at me like I was crazy and said: Honey, you’re stuck on the FIRE HYDRANT!!!
WHAT?? WHAT FIRE HYDRANT?? That thing came outta nowhere….
I wasn’t even out of the parking lot!! Ya gotta laugh at that point. At least the hydrant did not spew. I knocked it totally off the base! My car was spewing oil and radiator fluid. Everyone was so sweet and took care of me. I was not physically hurt but shaken. I was in the best of hands! We go to church with the tow truck operator and the mayor! :—) The chief of police came to be sure I was ok. It was on private property so no report was needed. Come to find out, I am the 5th to hit the hydrant. They’ve wanted it moved. Well I moved it!! :—) It actually made me feel better when a few friends started snickering! It was a dumb accident. I know it. One fire hydrant was killed and one vehicle ( mine) was maimed, but I was ok and I didn’t hurt anyone else or their property. Insurance is already on it. I am thankful.
Be blessed!
