Tapeley Park
After another day of clearing up after the wedding, B, M, A, I and a pack of four dogs set out on an expedition across the fields.
The adjacent land borders with Tapeley park and its glorious gardens and views across towards Lundy island and beyond. My collage doesn’t fully capture the beauty and atmosphere of the landscape or the beauty that we encountered. The sunbeams piercing through the canopy of ancient oaks and cedars and the earthy smells that ignite the senses that our good Lord has provided.
The buildings and gardens here at Tapeley Park are naturally beautiful but worn in a nice way, not made perfectly pretty by huge investors trying to commercialise a product. Okay it may one day need some work to prevent the odd leak or so but this is North Devon and it fits perfectly with how the area and its people live.
A few apples from the orchard found their way into a pocket or two and with some blackberries foraged on the way back tasty crumble produced by B and enjoyed by all.
