Willie's first time pulling a cart!

My friend Werni had asked me: Shall we put the harness on Willow on Wednesday? I was very happy to!

When the harness was on, he asked me to use the reins to let Willow walk in big figure 8s, worked fine. Then he added that splint thing at the end (I do not know what it is called in English!) and Willow had to walk outside with him adding his weight. Worked fine. 

Then we let him pull a tire. Great! Janine then set in the tire, all good. 

Why don't we let him stand in front of the cart?, asked Werni. Well, sure. 
Why don't we fix the cart to him now? Yeah, why not. Worked well, the best boy. 

OK, and now let him pull the cart, said Werni. Willow pulled and got an initial fright when the cart rolled from tarmac onto the soft uneven ground. We then realized that he really had never done this before. We let him walk with the cart outside down the grassy path and back, and he did well for his first time. But certainly, lots of training is still needed.
