Dragonflies

Tipped of by a newsletter in my inbox that there were interesting dragonflies at the nature reserve in Gosforth, I took my camera along to see what I could see. I was thrilled to see migrant hawkers and common darters. It was a challenge to catch them in flight, but this male obliged by posing on a boardwalk for a fully focussed blip.
