A different time!

This was my mother's bible, presented to her in 1918 under the terms of the will of Philip Lord Wharton.
As you can see from the extra photograph,  recipients were expected to commit to memory the 1st, 15th, 23rd, 25th, 37th, 101st, 113th, and 145th Psalms!
