Leith Waterfront
Jack and I left at 4.30 this morning to drive to Edinburgh to submit his visa application. It’s been the most stressful few weeks trying to make sure everything was filled in just right and that he had all the documents he needed. It took weeks to get this appointment and it was the first one available in the country, hence the drive at a ridiculous time. After a nervy moment when the woman told him his ‘nulla osta’ wasn’t a nulla osta (she went off to check with colleagues and it turns out it was just a different type!) we did the return trip and we were back in time for lunch and an afternoon nap to make up for the missed sleep, six hours of driving and a stressful twenty minute appointment!! Submitted and he just has to wait now. And then the next round of ridiculous residency paperwork can begin when he gets back to Milan.
I did manage to hang out of the car park window to glimpse the royal yacht Brittania which is moored next to a not very glamorous dock and shopping centre.
