Thirty
This will be the last book of the holidays and I finished it sat out on the bench this afternoon. At one point I was visited by a squirrel on the fence right above the bench. Not sure who was more startled. This was the second of my Wigtown books with a connection to the area. It's the first Dorothy L Sayers book I have read and I found it a bit 'dense' and then a very fast paced ending. I don't think she'll be going on my list of favourite crime writers.
It was a morning of getting jobs done. A few bags of clothes, bedding and bits and pieces dropped off at the charity warehouse before I repacked the car with the things I tried to take to the tip on Wednesday. Turns out that lots of other folk also had the same idea and I queued for 20 minutes before getting to the gates. Two stops to drop everything off and thankfully everyone was very patient. A quick trip into town to return an order and visit the favourite shop and then the supermarket via the vets to collect Bailey's meds. Home for a late lunch, to finish reading my book and tackle the ironing pile.
