Grasshopper

The afternoon was sunny and warm, and I was amazed by the number of grasshoppers who were suddenly leaping about the place, stridulating (is that the right word?). I also saw a wasp - normally not something I'd put on record, but I think it was the first one I've seen this year.

After the allotment I called in at Lia's to get my hair cut, in the hope of looking moderately presentable for next week's gig (it's in a church!).
